"The American people have always recognized that education is one of the soundest
investments they can make. The dividends are reflected in every dimension of our
national life - from the strength of our economy and national security
to the vitality of our music, art, and literature.

WELCOME to the education pages of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum. Our mission is to provide quality educational materials and experiences to the students, educators, and public of the state of Georgia, the country, and the world. We do this by creating document-based curricular materials and offering educational programming and training rooted in current best teaching practices, tied to state and national learning standards.

On the Professional Development page you'll find information about document analysis workshops, our annual summer seminar, and An Evening for Educators, which is our annual back-to-school celebration.

On the School Tours and Programs page you'll find everything you need to know to schedule a field trip visit for your students. That includes information about our field trip sponsorship program, as well as details about our various student programs and special tours.

On the Teacher Resources page you'll find lots of downloadable curriculum resources, miscellaneous information about Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter and the Carter years, National History Day, and a very robust, annotated list of other websites with great resources.

Enjoy your time in these pages, and after you've found what you're looking for, be sure to make plans to pay us a visit in person.
