    Black Tie Gala, 9/30/1986

    The night before the public opening of the Carter Presidential Center, President and Mrs. Carter invited the Founders (original financial contributors to the design and construction of the CPC) to a black tie buffet dinner and self-guided preview tours. Rosalynn Carter would present a birthday cake to her husband as a part of the festivities.
