The Library is open for research Monday through Friday, except federal holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Materials are available to any adult requiring the unique material contained in the Library. Please consult our Policies and Procedures for research by individuals under the age of 18.
Policies and Procedures
The Library is open to everyone. Research may be conducted on-site and some research can be conducted online.
Research inquiries can be made by e-mail, telephone, mail, or fax. You can learn more here about our policies and procedures when planning your research visit.
The Library holds textual records from select Federal Record Groups; donated historical papers; and White House Staff Offices.
The Library also has oral histories and audiovisual holdings in multiple formats. Our finding aids describe these materials more fully.
