Material also contains summaries of events in Iran prepared by the U.S. Department of State during the time of the Iran hostage crisis. The collection also includes the diary of Robert Ode that he maintained during his captivity. The majority of material in the collection documents the concern and support of the American people, especially schoolchildren, regarding the hostages and their families.
