All the material in this collection relates to the Alaska lands act of 1978, President Carter’s creation of national monuments in Alaska under the Antiquities Act and the subsequent passage of the lands bill in 1979. The material deals with all aspects of the Administration’s efforts in choosing monument areas, crafting the bill and getting it passed.
